What an incredible weekend we had at Senior County! Our swimmers put together an outstanding performance, with many achieving personal best times and several earning High Point honors. We are especially proud to announce that Homewood finished 3rd overall—our highest team finish in years! Congratulations to every swimmer, coach, and family who helped make this such a memorable season.

This season has been an amazing journey for every member of our team, from our first-year swimmers to our seasoned veterans. Whether you learned a new stroke, dropped time, competed in a new event, or stepped up to help your teammates on a relay, every swimmer has something to be proud of. Summer swim is about growth, confidence, teamwork, and having fun, and we hope each of you leaves this season with accomplishments to celebrate. We can't wait to see everyone back next summer as we continue building on this year's success and reaching even bigger goals together!

For our rising 7th–12th graders, the journey doesn't have to end here! We would love for you to join the Homewood High School Varsity Swim Team. There are no tryouts, and swimmers of all experience levels are welcome. If you're interested, please complete the Google Form for our head coach, Mary Miller Goldberg. Practices will be held Monday through Wednesday after school at the Central Pool. If you participate in another fall sport, don't worry—our swim program offers flexibility for dual-sport athletes.

If your swimmer is interested in continuing to swim year-round, there are several outstanding club teams throughout the Birmingham area that may be a great fit. Be on the lookout for an upcoming email with contact information for local year-round swim programs.

Now it's time to celebrate an incredible season! Join us for our End-of-Season Team Party on Monday, August 10, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. Every swimmer who competed in a meet this season will receive a trophy as we celebrate all of their hard work and accomplishments. Parents, it's your turn to jump in the pool and show your swimmers what you've got—be sure to sign up for the always-popular Parent Relay!
